Joana Tanner

Joana Tanner is a research intern at Interface and studies Health Sciences with a major in Health Economics and Health Policy at the University of Lucerne. Originally, she is a trained medical practice assistant and has a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Prevention. Her master’s thesis deals with the future assurance of primary outpatient healthcare in the rural region of Adelboden (Switzerland). The thesis includes, besides the literature research and data analysis, the design and conduct of interviews among key actors in this area. Regarding the analysis, Joana focuses on the assessment of the specific demand and needs for future primary care. From the empirical results, she will derive implications for the local healthcare provision.
