Sophie K. Brandt

As a physiotherapist with a background in clinical practice, education and global health policy, Sophie’s research interests deal with the measurement and the empirical analysis of preferences of health professionals regarding new models of primary outpatient healthcare. She is particularly interested in the individual innovativeness of health professionals and key aspects of interprofessional collaboration and health promotion. Her PhD project includes the design and conduct of an experimental survey among a sample of graduates of different health occupations in Switzerland. Regarding the analysis, she places a special focus on comparing preferences of sub-groups (e.g., different occupational groups, education and training levels or region of residence). From the empirical results, Sophie will derive political implications for the Swiss healthcare and health education system.
